Patty Lyons is the best knitting teacher I have encountered. This is my 3rd class with her, and I look forward to more! She doesn't just say do this and then that, the reason her lessons work is that she teaches you to understand what you are doing, why, and how that impacts the results. This was my 3rd brioche class. My first two were epic fails - one frogged and one finished with a lot of mistakes - that I would be able to fix now because I understand what I am doing and what I did incorrectly -even rows later! With her extra credit lessons there is something to test even experienced knitters. The tips and tricks she shares will carry over into every project from now on. Her SSK extra credit from the

Exactly what it says

Susan Steigerwald

Well written but the videos explain the new terminology and chart symbols. I definitely looked at the videos multiple times and got to practice the “fixing mistakes” multiple times. Holding off on the syncopated scarf for now.

This class started with great basic instructions for brioche, including fixing mistakes. Each project was unique and built on lessons from the previous projects. The pace of this learning helped me gain more confidence in brioche knitting. Before this class, I shied away from brioche patterns, but now I am ready to take them on. I know that if I hit a road block, I still have this class as a reference to go back too!
